Network Optimization is defined by our company as any solution or product that allows a customer to enhance how their network and applications perform. There are many areas of a network that can be optimized for peak performance.
Servers can be load balanced for improved throughput while web based applications can be accelerated for improved end user experience.
Bandwidth can be optimized by caching, compression, TCP acceleration, and CIFS acceleration to add more capacity to existing bandwidth, improve application latency across wide area networks, and improve chatty protocols such as CIFS which is used for client/server communication within Microsoft® operating systems. Quality of Service (QoS) is also important as it offers customers Layer 7 visibility into their network and offers the ability to do Layer 7 QoS on any user/any application.
